Landscape Crew Position

Landscape crew candidate will have:

Experience in the landscaping field, planting, trimming bushes, mulching, sod installation and drive to learn the industry
Ability to work hard, take direction and willingness to learn
Reliable transportation, drivers license preferred.

Landscape foreman candidate will have:

2 years minimum experience in the landscaping field, building walls, patios, bobcat work, trimming bushes, mulching, sod installation, drive to learn the industry, ability to take a project from start to finish

Lawn Care

Lawn Care Technician Position

As a Lawn Care Technician you will help our clients develop and maintain outstanding landscapes.  You will work with a team of 2-5 team members and perform general landscape maintenance duties safely and efficiently while paying close attention to detail and quality. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Cutting turf using a variety of landscaping tools and equipment in a safe manner

  • Properly weeding client sites by hand or by utilizing landscape equipment

  • Planting, grooming and maintaining plant material

  • Performing site cleanup duties which includes but is not limited to clearing and disposing of trash and organic material

  • Maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients

  • Performing other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions

  • Reliable transportation. 

  • Drivers License.

  • Experience mowing or using weed whips/ the drive to learn the industry

  • Experience with zero turns, riders, walk behinds, push mowers, weed whips, trimming bushes, blowers, weeding and small landscape project experience.

Lawn Care Crew Leader Position

As a Crew Leader you will help our clients develop and maintain outstanding lawn maintenance.  You will be responsible for managing a crew of 2-5 employees and help drive production, quality, safety and efficiency among the team.

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Ensuring all crew members are following safety policies and procedures

  • Understanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations

  • Managing multiple services that can include any of the following: lawn care, fertilization, maintenance production, tree care, and irrigation

  • Plan, organize and manage work for crew members at each client site location

  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of equipment and other company property

  • Performing other tasks as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of lawn maintenance or landscape experience

  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience managing crew labor in the landscaping industry

Irrigation

Irrigation Technician Position

As an Irrigation Technician you will help our clients develop and maintain outstanding landscapes.  You will be responsible for foreseeing, identifying, troubleshooting and resolving irrigation issues and performing preventative maintenance tasks on an ongoing basis.

Here is what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Performing preventative and diagnostic system checks on an ongoing basis

  • Reporting system check findings to the operations leadership team

  • Understanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations

  • Troubleshooting and resolving irrigation issues in a timely and efficient manner

  • Safely operating and maintaining irrigation equipment and all other company property

  • Communicating escalations to the Account Manager and/or Operations Manager

  • Maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients

  • Performing other tasks as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of commercial irrigation maintenance or installation experience

  • Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions

Mechanic

Mechanic Position

As a Mechanic you will help our internal clients maintain and repair the equipment they need to develop and maintain outstanding landscapes.  You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial landscape maintenance equipment. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Tracking service and repairs for all landscape equipment

  • Perform preventive maintenance, daily maintenance, and repairs on all company equipment. 

  • Ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely

  • Providing updates to leadership and field staff as requested

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience repairing small engine and 2 cycle equipment

  • Knowledge of diesel engines, chainsaws, and small engine work

  • Drivers License

  • Pass on site drug test

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Diesel engine and heavy equipment experience is highly desirable

Snow Removal (On-call)

Snow Plow Operator Position

As snow plow operator, you are responsible for safely operating your equipment while performing the delivery of services. Our clients trust to us to provide quality services and you are key in helping us live out our values every day. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Performs snow removal in parking lots and driveways as well as applying salt/ice melt as required

  • Assists with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader/Supervisor

  • ALL operators are required to shovel small walks at some sites

  • Performs other duties as required

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED 

  • Valid Chauffeur's License with clean record is required.

  • DOT medical exam card.

  • Own transportation to shop (City transportation not available/reliable)

  • Able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, early morning, early evening, be on call

  • Willingness to work occasional overtime

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature

  • Be able to complete paperwork and use mobile applications. 

  • Must have a cell phone with data and GPS.

Sidewalk Snow Removal Position

As a sidewalk snow removal crew member, you are responsible for safely operating your equipment while performing the delivery of services. Our clients trust to us to provide quality services and you are key in helping us live out our values every day. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Perform snow removal and salting to walkways, stairs and doors at various commercial sites. 

  • Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to snow blowers, sidewalk snow plow and shovel. 

  • Addresses clients' questions, comments, and concerns or refers clients to the Team Leader as appropriate

  • Performs other duties as required

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED 

  • Valid Driver's License with clean record is an asset

Office Staff & Administration 

Estimator Position

As an Estimator you will work under the guidance and direction of the President.  You will support the Sales and Operations teams and will be responsible for all aspects of the bidding process. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Prepare landscape maintenance and snow removal bids to include measuring properties for field estimates, reviewing invitations to bid, and estimate preparation

  • Gather pricing data from suppliers and subcontractors

  • Compile data and calculate estimates for bid proposals

  • Submit accurate bids in a timely and effective manner adhering to client requested deadlines.

  • Prepare proposal packets

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an Estimator role

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent, Associates Degree is preferred

  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to learn new technology quickly

Accounts Receivable Specialist Position

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will have exceptional communication and customer service skills, and an ability to produce consistent quality work in high volume.

 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Managing collections for Ground Control Property Services customers within your portfolio of accounts

  • Contacting customers for all overdue payments and ensuring these payments are applied to the correct account

  • Working to ensure there are limited non-payments as well as limited overdue accounts

  • Managing and applying payment applications to customer accounts as per customer remittance

  • Generating monthly aging report of all A/R balances

  • Managing, reporting and maintaining records on bad debt and bad debt recovery

  • Completing monthly journal entries and provides necessary documentation

  • Providing documentation and support for internal and external audits

  • Reconciling assigned general ledger accounts each month

  • Providing support to all members of the Business Operations team

  • Assisting in mailing tax forms and other forms to agencies

  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of A/R & Collections experience within a similar industry

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent, Associates Degree is preferred

  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite

Office Manager Position

As Office Manager, you are a key team member supporting the work of management and other staff. You are responsible for clerical, receptionist, bookkeeping, and project-based work to contribute to the day-to-day operations of Ground Control Property Services. 

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Direct and coordinate the administrative services in the office

  • Perform administrative functions including billing, payables, sales tracking, project tracking and collection activity

  • Work closely with the sales & production teams to ensure good flow of communication and data

 

Requirements

  • Minimum two years admin experience

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent, Associates Degree is preferred

  • Previous experience in a management role

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Sales Representative Position

As a Sales Representative,  you are responsible for aggressively growing sales revenue.  

Here’s an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:

  • Planning,Budgeting and Identifying leads

  • Perform Estimating, Presenting Bids, and Establishing long term client relationships

  • Prospect for new business, developing relationships with general contractors, builders, commercial developers, property managers and others. Plans and maintains adequate cold and warm calls/leads to cover the market.

  • Maintains record and tracking of all proposals in progress and timely follows-up to maximize sales opportunities. Aggressively pursues all proposals in progress.

  • Work closely with account operations manager regarding quality and customer service.

  • Provide timely and effective follow through. Communication is essential

  • Working with prospective and existing customers to discover their specific needs and develop solutions

 

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Driver's license with a clean record

  • 2-3 year experience in this or a related field is required

  • Previous leadership experience

  • Willingness to work overtime

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
